Jake Welsh
Attorney at Law

Jake Welsh

Attorney at Law focused on criminal law, estate planning, and family-law matters across Emmett, Gem County, and the Greater Treasure Valley.

A lifelong Emmett resident, Jake takes pride in practicing law and serving the community where he was born, raised, and graduated high school. He earned his degree in Criminal Justice from Boise State University before attending Concordia University School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate with the support of the Kassidy Amano Freedman-Welsh Scholarship Fund.

During law school and after graduation, Jake’s legal career was strongly influenced by his law partner, Tim Fleming. Under Tim’s mentorship, Jake gained experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, limited licensed intern, and ultimately, attorney.

Jake’s practice focuses on criminal law, estate planning, and all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, paternity, adoption, termination of parental rights, civil protection orders, marital agreements, spousal support, legal separation, name changes, guardianships, and conservatorships.

When he’s not in the courtroom or the office, Jake can usually be found near the closest body of water with Roscoe, his champion chocolate Labrador retriever. Roscoe is a full-time employee at Fleming & Welsh and proudly serves as CEO.

You can also find Jake at the golf course, probably with Morgan, where he’s either working on his swing or building a very strong legal case against Morgan’s scorecard. Jake and CEO Roscoe look forward to meeting you during a consultation soon!
